Mission of the Pima County Workforce Investment Board is to
provide leadership for the community to develop the best trained,
educated, and highest paid workforce in the state. |
PimaWorks
offers a wealth of information regarding employment services,
training programs, labor market information, as well as details
and links regarding the Workforce Investment Act and what it means
for our community.
The
overall goal of the Workforce Investment Act:
“To
increase the employment, retention, and earnings of participants,
and increase occupational skill attainment by participants, and,
as a result improve the quality of the workforce, reduce welfare
dependency, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of
the nation.”
